30 July – EUTEC Webinar – China Chapter – Will China’s economic rise save EU industries?

China’s economy returned to growth in the second quarter after a deep slump at the start of the year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. China is well on its way to transit from a resource-intensive manufacturing hub to a modern, consumer-driven economy and has offered itself as a model for how an emerging economy can grow rapidly.

Regardless of the direction of the United States-China relationship, European industries need to explore options for fruitful co-existence with China. China is, and will continue to be, a major trade and investment partner for European countries. European companies have built up more foreign direct investment in China than the other way around and Chinese investment in Europe is growing and has focused strongly on technology.

To continue this interesting discussion, EUTEC Chamber is planning a webinar on the topic of “Will China’s Economic Rise save EU Industries”. It will be held on Thursday July 30th, 2020 at 9 a.m. CET.

We have also invited 2 guest speakers from leading European technology companies. They are respectively Mr. Lin Kayser, CEO of Hyperganic Technologies AG and Mr. Markus Unterstein, CFO of HAWE Hydraulik. They will share with us their Chinese-market entering know-how.

During the webinar, our Chairman Mr. Florian von Tucher will introduce our Chamber and the European Technology Center in Shenfu Demonstration Zone of Liaoning Province in China. Mr. Stefan Stempian, EUTEC’ s Board Member will be the moderator.

We look forward to seeing you there!
