Biogas is a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy source that can be produced from organic waste. There are various technologies and systems that can be used to harness the power of biogas and promote sustainable agriculture and industry.

To address this topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Energy Alliance organized a webinar on April 06, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Technologies for Use of Biogas in Production Systems”.

The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by our moderator, Mr. Nasrullah Ali who is the coordinator of Energy Alliance.

The webinar commenced with our keynote speaker, Mr. Frank Hofmann, Consultant at German Biogas Association. The other three panelists were Mr. Dr Nick Primmer, Policy Advisor at Future Biogas, Mr. Arseny Tarasov, CEO of HiPer it!, and Mr. Horst A. Unterlechner, Managing Director at iRCB Biogas.

During the webinar, the speakers delved into the topic of biogas technology and its development in Germany and across Europe. They highlighted the growth of the biogas sector in Germany and the increasing number of installed biogas plants in Europe, emphasizing the potential of this renewable energy source for sustainable agriculture and industry.

Moreover, the speakers also discussed the various components of a biogas plant, including the selection and processing of raw materials, the anaerobic digestion process, and the utilization of biogas for energy production.

Overall, the discussion provided valuable insights into the exciting world of biogas technology and its potential for sustainable development.
