In an era where sustainability has become paramount, agriculture stands at the forefront of the global environmental challenge. Balancing the need to feed a growing population with the imperative to protect our planet is no small feat.
To delve deeper into the topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Environment Alliance organised a webinar on September 08, 2023, where the topic under discussion was “Greening Agriculture: Waste, Water and other Solutions”.
The webinar started off with a short overview of the organisation and a formal introduction of the panellists by Mr. Aimal Jehangir, coordinator of the Environment Alliance.
The keynote speaker for the event was Rudolf Stocker, Owner & Founder of Reco-E waste GmbH.
The panellists for the day were:
· Mr. Titus GAKWAYA, CEO & MD at TK-ENGINEERING & AGROTECHNOLOGY LTD,
· Mr. Dmitry K., Consultant at Smart-compliance GMBH (Switzerland),
· Mr. Abdul-Wahab Tahiru, Regional advisor at Where Geospatial.
The aim of the webinar was to foster a deep understanding of the symbiotic relationship between agriculture and the environment. By spotlighting waste reduction, water conservation, and other innovative solutions, the speakers successfully inspired individuals and stakeholders to actively contribute to a greener, more sustainable agricultural landscape.
Greening Agriculture is a critical exploration into the innovative approaches and transformative practices that are reshaping the agricultural landscape. It plays a pivotal role that waste reduction, water conservation, and other innovative solutions play in not only mitigating environmental impacts but also in fostering a more resilient and prosperous agricultural future.
We want to thank our respectable speakers for their informed presentations and discussions on this vital and relevant topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Aimal Jehangir for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to each of the panellists.
Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your supportive comments and your insightful questions. Stay tuned for our next Environment Alliance!
