Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have both contributed significantly to the progress of a wide range of applications. But at the same time, we face major challenges on both sides: How can AI be designed so that it can be increasingly applied in critical areas in the future? And what is the state of didactics in ML?
To answer these questions, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Internet of Things (IoT) Alliance organized a webinar on March 24, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Status and Trends of AI Engineering and Machine Learning”.
The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by Ms. Svetlana Nyameyo who is the coordinator of the Africa Alliance.
The keynote speaker for today’s event was Mr. Sebastian Mlodzinski, CEO at TIMATE. The other two panelists were Ms. Neelima Misra, Founder and CEO at DaasTek, and Mr. Ritesh Patil, Research Scientist at Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics.
In the webinar, the speakers emphasized the importance of AI and ML in various aspects of our lives, such as business operations, healthcare, and education. The panelists also delved into the topic of ethical artificial intelligence and its impact on improving operations, driving innovation, and enhancing customer interactions.
Overall, the webinar highlighted the potential of AI and ML to transform various industries and their importance in development and deployment. Moreover, the panelists talked about IoT as an opportunity to improve current systems and to build a more responsible, ethical, and sustainable society.
We want to thank our respectable speakers for their informed insights on this much-needed topic. Moreover, special thanks to Ms. Svetlana Nyameyo for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.
Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next IoT Alliance webinar on April 21, 2023, on “Navigating Complex Challenges of IoT in the Connected World”.
