With the pandemic, we have seen an incredible acceleration in the world of start-ups; from finance to agriculture, from food waste to mobility, there are many projects trying to make an impact at a larger scale in Latin America.
To address this issue, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) LatAm Alliance organised a webinar on November 10, 2022. The topic under discussion was, ” Tech for Social Impact in Latin America”.
The webinar started off with a brief overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the three panelists by our moderator, Mr. Salvatore Cavallaro who is the coordinator of the LatAm Alliance.
The three worthy panelists who joined the webinar were Mr. Tomisin Salam, a Global Impact Entrepreneur and Founder of FiatMatch. Next, we had Ms. Solange Rodriguez Soifer, Startup Grind Director Chapter and at last, we had Ms. Carolina M. Ahlstrand, Head of International Business Development, Raisoft.
While addressing the webinar, the speakers talked about the importance of technology to create sustainable models with a circular ecosystem. They also discussed problems such as poverty and inequality within the Latin America society.
Moreover, the presenters emphasized on the improvement of startup ecosystem by large enterprises and the government. During the discussion, they said that the entrepreneurs should be given opportunities to connect which will eventually improve the startup ecosystem.
The government should identify and boost young companies from Latin America to create a positive social impact.
We want to thank our speakers for their informed insights on today’s topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Salvatore Cavallaro for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.
Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next LatAm Alliance webinar on December 14, 2022, at 3:00 pm (CET), about “Global Expansion: How to Effectively Expand your Business”.
