With an increasing demand for sustainable transportation, smart mobility solutions have become crucial for improving the quality of life for urban residents. From autonomous vehicles and intelligent transportation systems to bike-sharing and electric scooters, smart mobility technologies are transforming the way people move around cities.
To learn more about this topic, the EU Tech Chamber (EUTECH) Smart Cities Alliance organized a webinar on April 04, 2023. The topic under discussion was, “Smart Mobility: Improving transportation for Urban Residents”.
The webinar started off with a short overview of the organization and a formal introduction of the panelists by our moderator, Mr. Jacopo Frattini who is a coordinator at the EU Tech Chamber.
The webinar started off with our keynote speaker, Mr. Frank Sheehan, an entrepreneur, and leading technology visionary. The other four panelists were:
· Mr. Michal Neumann, CEO at Market Connect SA,
· Mr. Orazio Corva, Principal Future Cities and Mobility in AFRY Management Consulting,
· Mr. TANI YOUCEFI ABDELAAZIZ, Smart Cities Project Consultant,
· Mr. Hans Teuben, Director Strategy and Innovation Public Sector at CapGemini.
During the webinar, the speakers highlighted the latest developments in smart mobility, including sustainable transportation solutions and intelligent transportation systems. They also addressed common challenges faced by urban residents, such as inadequate funding, ineffective e-governance, and fragmented mobility options.
Moreover, the speakers proposed potential solutions to these challenges, such as promoting socioeconomic development, embracing diversity and cultural sensitivity, and involving all stakeholders in decision-making processes.
We want to thank our speakers for their informed insights on this essential topic. Moreover, special thanks to Mr. Jacopo Frattini for moderating the webinar and distributing Tree-Certificates to the panelists.
Above all, sincere thanks to all our attendees – your comments, compliments, and questions. Stay tuned for our next Smart Cities Alliance webinar!
